Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

28 July 2008 No Comment

My nutritionist told me that chili is great for candida. It took me awhile to get used to digesting the beans (my poor son!), but this chili is so yummy that it’s worth it. You can use whatever beans you like. I’ve used black beans or garbanzo beans in place of the beans listed here.

1 lb. ground turkey
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 can pinto beans
1 can kidney beans
1 bay leaf
4-5 heaping teaspoonfuls of chili mix powder
Olive oil
Sea salt

Cook turkey, onion and garlic in olive oil until cooked through. Add to slow cooker with the rest of the ingredients. Cook on high for 4 hours. Top with shredded raw goat milk cheese, if desired.
